Mil-tree presents - Weaving Our Stories: The Path Home

A veteran retreat in Joshua Tree supported by community members. This is a free gathering,  January 12 - 14. 

Friday Night: 6 pm - 9 pm

Sat: 10 am - 5 pm

Sun: 10 am - 4 pm

The exploration at this retreat includes:

  • Stories: discover tales & traditions rooted in culture
  • Discussion: veterans and community members share their stories
  • Piece it together: combine all expression into a shared mosaic
  • Group reflection: how do we build a new community together

This retreat is led by Miguel Rivera, Ben Dennis and Elders Kim Marcus & Lola Mondragon.

This is the first part of the California Creative Corps project "Tapestries Of Transformation." other upcoming activities will include workshops in drumming, storytelling, acting and movement, and a final performance exploring the journey home from serving our country, starting in February ending in may 2024. This activity is made possible in part by a grant from the Inland Socal Creative Corps, a component fund at the Inland Empire Community Foundation, and by the California Arts Council, a state agency.
